just like old times.

Sometimes you have to enjoy the moment, and this means not taking out the camera to document every last second. Last night was one of those moments.

We got together with old friends from the Winchester Ward, the Nelsons and the Mellors. Over the past year and a half we've all moved: Nelsons have moved downtown, Mellors to Qatar to teach,  and you know where we are.

It was as if no time had passed at all, even though it's been so long since we've seen each other. We went up Millcreek Canyon, sat around a fire, cooked veggies and hotdogs and s'mores, drank bottled sodas, and ate a whole bag of Cheeto puffs. And we laughed, and talked, and and admired  the latest addition to the group (an adorable tiny baby girl, congrats Nelsons!). It was delightful.

And I didn't take a single picture, because I just wanted to enjoy the moment. I only partially regret not having captured it in a photo. And I sincerely hope we can all get together again before the mellors heads back to the Middle East at the end of August. And maybe even, we can plan a California reunion trip for sometime next year, because seriously, that was the best ever.
