In October we also took a little trip to Las Vegas for the 2012 Mine Expo. Much "shwagging" was done (my mom is a pro, and totally fearless getting swag from booths). We also ate some great food, and did the usual strip tour (The Venetian, the Bellagio, etc.). We tried the sodas from around the world at the Coke store, that one from Italy is super nasty, like cough medicine! We also had a lovely dinner at Bouchon. We tried foie gras. I had the lamb. A had chicken, and said it was the best chicken he'd ever had.
On our way out of Vegas, we stopped at a taco place that was pretty much amazing, Tacos El Gordo. It is now on our list of must-go-to restaurants in Vegas (along with Bouchon and Mama Depalma's Pizza). Seriously, the tacos al pastor were fantastic.
