what should i wear?
So my work has a big fundraiser tonight (y'all should come). Some people dress way up, some don't. I'm trying to decide what to wear from my closet, and so far have come up with three options:
Option 1: Vintage dress, thrifted by my sister Mary. Polyester on top, awesome geometric wool on the bottom. This is probably the most "casual" but so far my favorite. I would pair this with my new boots, as pictured.
Option 2: Swanky dress bought new a few years ago from Cache'. I've worn this to a few fancy events (on our cruise, our fancy Valentine's dinner at Spark, and when I had a singing gig on New Year's Eve at a Park City restaurant). I'd probably swap the opaque tights for some sheer ones for tonight.
Option 3: 1980s vintage dress (thrifted when I was still in my early teens). I think this one is polyester, but I love the cross-wrap feature and always feel like it can be dressed way up or down. I love it with this elephant belt (no politics intended) but the only gold shoes I have that go are sandals, and I think it is now too cold to go bare-legged. Maybe I could switch to tights and the booties?
