almost famous

This is my family. Some of you may already know that I have two gay brothers, a lot of people probably didn't know before the news. In high school, most people didn't know. I would be at lunch or somewhere and hear some derogatory joke or comment, and do my best to stand up against it. I just goes to show that you don't always know what someone else is going through, what their circumstances are, and sometimes the things you say can be alienating and hurtful to those people. My family, being the way that it is, has made me a better person. I feel like I am more sensitive of other people, more accepting, more understanding. Family isn't always easy, for anyone, but I love mine and wouldn't change it for the world.
