pavlova birthday

Well, birthday week is half over already. I have to say, I much prefer it when the big day falls on a weekend, but it's good regardless.

Sunday we celebrated my birthday and my mom's birthday with my  family. My sister and her husband brought arroz con pollo, coconut cupcakes, and pavlova. Did you know pavlova is amazing? I may or may not have eaten three...and a cupcake. Soooooo delicious. And it was fun to talk with family and be entertained by the nieces and nephews.

Monday I helped my mom clean up her toy room. We went through a box of my old dollies, so funny to see what I kept!

Tuesday, A and my mom put together a delicious breakfast: cinnamon rolls, strawberries, cocoa, oatmeal, and oj. A also packed me a special birthday lunch with pizza left over from Saturday.

For dinner we had hawaiian takeout from Moki's that A picked up on his way home from class, it was so good! We'll definitely have to go there again. We saw my brother briefly, recently returned from Australia, and then I watched Hugo while A fell asleep. I think it was pay back for all the times I fell asleep while watching tv when we were dating. I really enjoyed the movie, regardless.

Since my mom actually has a birthday today, were having family dinner, and Friday I'm going to breakfast and shopping with my bff Trisha. Let the birthday week continue!

I love that your mom's birthday is on the 29th. And that's really fun that her day is so close to yours. That is how it is with me and Miss Tiny-pants. I now have this to look forward to.

Valerie, I've loved celebrating birthdays with my mom every year. We used to go out for a birthday dinner, just the two of us. It was extra special. I hope you and "tiny pants" love it too!
