Tonight my family had a little birthday party for my mom and me. She and my dad will be out of town next week for our birthdays, so we celebrated a week early. My sister Mary hosted, and cooked up the most amazing Chicago-style pizza, and these adorable little individual tiered cakes. I also received a beautiful succulent from my brother Mike, and had a generally jolly time celebrating with siblings, parents, a grandmother, and some truly great nieces and a nephew. I love birthdays, and my family. The only thing missing was my favorite person, A, who is on a short business trip. It has been a whole nine hours, and I already miss him very much! Love you A!
