Speechless

I'm going to brag, but I figure I can do that since it's my blog. Anyway, I got a letter in the mail today. From the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship... I read the letter wrong twice. First, I thought it would be $2,500 a semester, which would have been really great. That's the optional stipend for housing. Then I thought it would be $350, which would have been not so good, but free money nevertheless. That is the amount for the student fees, which is not covered in the scholarship. Then I decided to actually read the letter, not just skim through and look for the number. Here's what I read:

It is my pleasure to inform you that you have been named recipient of the Honors at Entrance Scholarship... Your honors at Entrance Scholarship will support up to 18 hours of tuition per semester, for a maximum of eight semesters, or until you receive a baccalaureate degree, whichever comes first.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that means I don't have to pay for school, hence being speechless. I just got a big smile, and gave A a big kiss. Words can't express how happy and relieved I am, the stress of trying to figure out how to pay for school for at least another year with decreased pay and hours... it just wasn't adding up. This makes the math a whole lot easier. I truly feel blessed.
The fine print is that this doesn't start until fall semester, I have to take at least 12 credit hours every semester, and I have to maintain a 3.7 GPA.
