dinner for a cold night...
So I've been sick, and it snowed yesterday. That calls for soup and grilled cheese. I made Grandma's Creamy Tomato Soup. It is super easy, and super delicious. This made just enough for A and me.
1 T butter
1 T flour
1 c milk
1 cup V-8
Spices to taste (I used oregano and thyme, I think. Basil is good too.)
So first, you melt the butter and add the flour, making a roue, then add the milk. Stir continously. When the milk boils, the sauce will thicken. When it has thickened, add the V-8 and the spices. Serve with grilled cheese sandwiches.
This was just what the doctor prescribed for a snowy sniffley day.
