Nursery Tour

I finally got around to taking some pictures of Evie's room. I'd been waiting, first because our camera lens wasn't right for taking pictures close-up, then just for no reason. Well, I'm a bit disappointed with the pictures, even with the new lens I couldn't capture much of the room, and because it is in the basement, the lighting is never great. But here they are anyway.

I really do love this room. The only things I'd still like to make are a valence out of the same fabric as the pillow/ottoman, and cloth bunting.

the closet: added an Ikea Expedit shelf, turned on its side, with storage bins from Target.

the changing station: my great grandpa made this dresser, I painted it using the little sample size paint tubs from Lowe's and changed out the hardware. pail is from Ikea, changing pad cover is from Target, Mirror is antique but refinished, chandelier is a kid DIY kit from Amazon, and curtains (seen in reflection) are from Ikea.

storybook shelf: the big "E" is salvaged from an out-of-business costume shop in Seattle, the little chick was a gift from Grandma, the lamb is a thrifted antique, and the clown stacker is a souvenir from Germany. Rug is from Ikea.

bow holder: I made it with a thrifted frame (spray painted) and ribbon scraps, and the garland is from a baby shower.

artwork: this hangs above the rocking chair. I found these prints at a thrift store, and painted the frames. the  garland is from a baby shower.

rocking chair: picked up this mid-century tweed chair off of KSL, and replaced the legs with some from Etsy. the ombre chevron blanket was a gift from my sister. I recovered the ottoman (found at Walmart) and made the pillow sham. There's a little side table next to the chair, not shown.

last view of the crib (Jenny Lind, via Amazon), with a hint of the vintage wicker laundry bin, handmade bunting, the Grandma quilt and knit blanket from Evie's aunt.

Super cute. I love the chair the best. It looks so cozy. Well done.
