winging it...

But not at Wingers. A and I discovered a wing restaurant besides wingers and the wing coop, which is great because I don't much like either one of those. This one is called Wild Wings and Things and I think it is comparable to Buffalo Wild Wings. Their wings are fried to a delicious and perfect crisp, with skin visible but not unappetizing. You won't find any gelatinous, cold, chicken fat or gristle at Wild Wings and Things...
Unlike BWW, WW&T isn't a sit-down place with a waiter, so you don't have to tip. You also have to buy celery, carrots, and dipping sauce seperately. Worst of all is that they only divide their wings into groups of ten instead of groups of six, which is how BWW does it, so you don't get to sample as many sauces.
We ordered ten in chili lime sauce, 10 lemon pepper, and 10 garlic parmesan. The lemon pepper, though not spicey, were by far the best. THey didn't really have any sauce, so the crispness remained intact. The chili lime sauce was disappointing, but still delicious, mostly just tasting like normal wing sauce. Add parmesan to the outside of some wings spun in original wing sauce, and you get garlic parmesan. Again, not outstanding. Now I'm making it sound like I didn't like it, which is completely untrue. The sauces were not as complex as BWW, but Wild Wings and Things has thier wing-preperation system down pat. I would venture to say they are the best in Utah.

ha ha - I agree with that previous post! I wouldn't have thought there was so much to say about so little meat, but you make me - an avowed wing hater - want to try them.
