Veggie Tales

Finally, the day has come, the Sunflower Market is open! Sunflower Market is on State street and Winchester, and close enough A and I could ride our bikes there. The Market carries a lot of organic (they call it serious) food, as well as a plethora of fresh veggies at "silly prices." I spent under ten dollars and got a basket full of produce. I bought two zuccini, two yellow squash, a head of cabbage, one orange and one yellow pepper, a cluster of two brocolli stems, ginger, and a tub of peeled garlic. With all that, I made stir fry (by the time it was done I was so hungry, I ate without taking pictures!). A grilled some chicken, and we paired the stir fried veggies, which included snow peas from our ver own garden, with some steamed white rice. Oh, and keep your eyes open for their ads, on Wednesdays, the ads overlap and savings are double. Needless to say, my new grocery store is the Sunflower Market, and my new shopping day is Wednesday. On the menu for tomorrow: kababs with more fresh vegetables and chicken skewered on the grill. I'll try to remember to take some pictures.
