weekend getaway
breakfast at the eating establishment. also note: haircut. |
We had a fantastic weekend. My parents were kind enough to reserve some condos in Park City for their children to use, right on Main Street. We headed up Friday, and invited A's sister and her family to come up for Café Rio and swimming. Saturday morning we headed out to Main Street to find some breakfast, and it was empty! We saw maybe free other people, and none of the businesses were open. Finally after walking almost to the top of the street, we found an open restaurant! The Eating Establishment was open, and we drank nearly ten dollars worth of fresh OJ (yikes!).
After breakfast we went to the outlets and scored some great deals at the Gap outlet, and then we headed home.
Saturday evening we went to the movies, "What To Expect When You're Expecting". Let me just say that true love is a husband that sits through a movie that he really doesn't like. Thanks, babe. You're the best. And Cameron Diaz wasn't even that bad. And lets go to Ethiopia and adopt a baby, okay?
Sunday I had the treat of going to relief society. After church we went back to Park City for a barbeque with three of my five siblings, poolside. I made burgers, which was scary, and the only thing I forgot was ketchup. The weather, company, and food was all excellent.
We got home, took a little nap, and went to A's sister's house for backyard lounging and ice cream. We didn't see the eclipse because it was pretty cloudy, but we did enjoy the evening. After that we played Ticket to Ride Switzerland, and I lost, but still had lots of fun.
All in all, a great weekend. How was yours?
